>> Conform to RoHS
What is RoHS?
The RoHS Directive stands for "the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment". This Directive will ban the placing on the EU market of new electrical and electronic equipment containing more than agreed levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants from 1 July 2006.
Manufacturers will need to understand the requirements of the RoHS Directive to ensure that their products, and their components, comply. |

RoHS coming into force
The RoHS Directive and the UK RoHS regulations come into force on 1 July 2006. The RoHS Directive is an Article 95 single market directive and we are not aware of any communications or plans at the pan European level to postpone the coming into force date.

Enforcing RoHS
As a strategic supplier to customers who have taken the initiative to eliminate or reduce substances that will impact the ecosystem, Matrix has partnered with suppliers who have demonstrated that they conform to the European Union directives mentioned above. In addition to its traditional suite of products, Matrix offers its products with markings commonly with "Lead-Free" or "Green Product ". By clicking on the links to the right you will find information about the specific RoHS compliant basic material used in our Printed Circuit Board toward which Matrix environmental program is directed.
To ensure all our base materials are conform to RoHS we have utilised an independent Laboratory SGS to examine all our Base Materials. Additional for our finished Printed Circuit Board with different "Lead-Free" surface finishing we also have it tested on RoHS compliance at SGS. The positive results of the SGS official reports are all available on request.
